Hello GEMS friends!
One of my FAQs is about measuring for a baby bracelet, so I’m going to help walk you through it. If you’re more of a visual learner then I’ve linked some helpful videos at the end.
First, I want to address what sizes are considered “baby” and what are “adult”. Many moms wonder what to order for their daughters who are older than 6, and are definitely not adults. It’s confusing, I know. When I created my size guide, I based the baby measurements on average wrist sizes. My daughter Rosie, for example, is currently 8 and fits into 4 - 6 years old (5.5”). That’s why it’s important to measure their wrist instead of purchasing based on their age. Not every girl is going to fit into the “average” size for her age group listed.
Here’s the breakdown of the baby sizes:
- Newborn to 6 months= 4"
- 6 months to 12 months= 4.5"
- 12 months to 4 years old= 5"
- 4 years old to 6 years old= 5.5"
Adult sizes start at 6”. If you need a custom size, leave a note of the measurement at checkout and we are happy to make accommodations for custom measurements. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are the three things you need to know about measuring your daughter’s wrist + selecting the perfect bracelet.↴
Like I mentioned above, your daughter may not fall within the age range listed with her size, and that’s ok! When in doubt, go with her measurement and you’ll be golden!
